About us
frankeconsults GmbH is a specialized consultancy for data migration and data validation in ERP environments. We help companies transfer data from existing systems into new ERP systems in a structured, traceable and reliable way - often in SAP environments, but also in Microsoft Dynamics and other ERP systems.
We combine business process understanding with technical implementation: from the first data extract through transformation and validation to a successful go-live.
As part of a small, specialized consultancy, you will work closely with clients and contribute to real projects and decisions. During the trainee program, you will receive structured guidance and learn directly from experienced consultants.
Why this trainee program?
ERP data migration sits at the intersection of data, business processes and technology. It involves questions such as: Which data is needed in a new system? How should customer, supplier, material or financial data be structured? And how can we prove that migrated data is complete and correct?
You do not need to know the answers yet. The six-month trainee program is designed for people who want to build both the functional and technical foundations from the ground up. A completed university degree is required, but it does not have to be in business or IT. Previous experience in ERP systems, data migration, SQL or consulting is not required.
Your role
You will learn how ERP data migrations are planned, implemented and validated. Step by step, you will move from guided exercises to supervised work on real client projects.
The program is intended to prepare you for a Junior Consultant role. After six months, a permanent transition may be possible depending on your development, performance and mutual fit; it is not an automatic guarantee.
Your learning path
The trainee program has three connected phases:
- Build the foundations: You learn how common business processes, ERP systems, data structures and migration projects fit together.
- Develop practical skills: You work with Excel, SQL, Power Query and data-validation methods. You also learn to use AI tools responsibly for analysis, documentation and workflow support, to verify their results critically, and to respect data-protection and client requirements.
- Apply what you have learned: You join real project work under close guidance and gradually take on clearly defined tasks and responsibility.
Your tasks
During the program, you will:
- learn to analyze and understand data structures in source and target systems
- prepare, transform and validate data with Excel, SQL and Power Query under guidance
- build an understanding of business processes in areas such as finance, purchasing, logistics and sales
- support the documentation of migration rules, assumptions and results
- use suitable AI applications responsibly to support analysis, documentation and recurring workflows
- check AI-assisted and manually produced results for accuracy and traceability
- gain insight into client meetings and help prepare project workshops
- contribute to our internal templates, methods and tools
- gradually take on supervised tasks for individual migration objects such as customers, suppliers, materials or financial data
